Andrew & Dionne Rose, of DOA Bloodbath Film Festivals, are looking for horror filmmakers who'd like to submit their films for consideration in one of their film festivals.
According to their press release (Well, I guess it's not actually a presss release since anyone can see it on their website, but it makes me sound more important if I imply that I got a press release, right?), if you're a filmmaker interested in submitting your film to any one of their festivals and you're wondering what the rules are, or what hoops you have to jump through in order for them to even consider your film for one of their fests, wonder no more. The answer is NONE! No hoops to jump through and no loopholes. No need to grease their palms with hopes that they'll throw you a bone by chosing your film for the festival. No Sir-ee Bob. No strings attached here at all folks.
If you are indeed a horror filmmaker and you'd like to submit your film for any one of the DOA Film Festivals, you'll find all the information you need below:
- Submit your film per the deadline stated in the “call for submissions” post on their website (click HERE)
- There are no fees associated with submitting to any event hosted by DOA Blood Bath Entertainment. Nor is there any need for fancy press kits, posters, and such. Sure, I like SWAG as much as the next guy, but that stuff costs YOU the filmmaker money. And that’s money better spent making films or even paying your rent or, if you are like most starving indie filmmakers, even just eating is nice. Besides, honestly? A pretty press kit and lots of SWAG will not be a factor into your film’s selection, or non-selection, into any Blood Bath festival.
- All films must be on DVD or Blu-Ray and playable in a standard North American Region 1 type player. If selected, your film must not be branded as a screener in any way.
- By submitting your film to us you agree that we can screen it at the event that you submitted it to.
- DVD’s will not be returned whether selected or not.
As Porky Pig once said just before having a spear shoved up his rectum & out his mouth to be spit roasted, "Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-... That's all, folks."! It's all as simple as that.
But unlike the pain and horror that Porky went through, the process of submitting your film to DOA Bloodbath Festivals is completely painless!
Andrew & Dionne Rose are both wonderful people, filmmakers themselves, and they're committed to helping further the horror genre, and help those folks out there trying to get their independent films off the ground.
If you are an indie horror filmmaker and you're trying to get your film out there, this is the way to do it.
Sadly there are a lot of people in the genre out there trying to scam others over but with the Roses you are guaranteed to be dealing with people who are a class act.
