Do you want money, power, sex? Kimberla Lawson Roby says Be Careful What You Pray For

If you believe that books with a religious undertone tend to be dull or subdued your dead wrong. Feast your eyes on the latest novel by Kimberla Lawson Roby, Be Careful What You Pray For, the continuation to, The Best Of Everything. The sequel picks up soon after Reverend Curtis Black's daughter Alicia moves past her disgraceful divorce and finds herself face to face with JT Valentine, the one, according to Alicia and who she believes is the answer to all her prayers.

God really does work in mysterious ways.
Harper Collins

Alicia finally feels that she has everything she ever wanted: a luxurious home, a soon to become realized career as a published novelist, a prominent Pastor for a husband that supports her, gives her whatever her heart desires and only wants to see her happy: so why then does her father keep insisting that he does not trust JT Valentine? Does he not see how much JT loves his daughter?

In many cases the saying "father knows best" does not always ring true but in this case daddy may have a point. Reverend Black detects similarities between himself and his new son-in-law, which may not be such a good thing since he knows those similarities will only lead to betrayal and deceit.

Everyone has a few skeletons in their closet, but what will burst out of the doors in this book may just leave you astounded at what hides behind the holy cloth: four year long torrid affair, ex-lover drug dealer in prison, a married cougar rolling in the dough amongst other things, tragic death, money, power, and lots and lots of sex, oh and a sermon hear and there.

This Monday, January the 25th at 7:00 pm, Kimberla Lawson Roby will be at Borders, located at 8000 Mall Parkway, Lithonia, GA 30038 for a reading and book signing. Also, don't forget to check out her Reverend Curtis Black series and any of her other scandalous stand alone novels
