Have you ever lost someone who you love or admire, and then you believe that in order to get that happiness back, you have to find someone else to replace that person?
If you ever found yourself having to go find someone else to make you happy, then you are counting on others to bring you happiness. However, true happiness can only exist within you. You are the only person who can bring yourself true happiness. Even though other people might bring some happiness into your life, they are just additional happiness and are not needed in order to bring you true happiness. If you have others in your life, great, if not, you will be just fine and your happiness will not be affected much.
When you are counting on others for your happiness, you are taking the risk on your own happiness. There is a chance that other people will run out of your life because you do not have control over them. In this case, your happiness could be gone in any second because others could decide to walk out of your life any time they want.
However, the happiness that you can always control and have forever is the happiness that you develop within yourself. No one can take away your happiness when you are the one creating it. The only time when others can take your happiness away is when they give it to you.
In addition, the happiness that others give to you will not last. The happiness that last the longest is the happiness that you develop for yourself. According to the happiness theory, 75% of true happiness is based on your strength, courage, and confidence, and how you treat yourself and 25% is based on external factors such as materialism and other people. In this case, it is all about you and what you are doing to bring yourself happiness.
Since people are parts of external factors and only bring you 25% of happiness, the suffering and sadness that they have caused you will also not last long. However, the suffering and sadness that will last the longest is when you make yourself suffer such as sabotaging or making yourself feel bad.
So when you develop, build and keep your own happiness within yourself, then it does not matter what happen or how others treat you, no one and nothing can take your happiness away. In addition, when you have true happiness within you, you will have the strength and courage to move on in life so much faster when someone makes you suffer.
Since true happiness is based on how high your inner strength, courage, and self-confidence are, then you want to build those three traits as much as possible. One of the best ways to do that is to do things that push you out of your comfort zone, and this includes taking risks and challenging yourself. This is your chance to do things that you always think you cannot do because you believe you do not have enough strength and courage. To tell you the truth, anything that your mind converted into a thought, then it means that you have the strength and courage to accomplish it. If you do not have the strength and courage, then the thought would not come up for you. In addition, strength and courage develop the fastest when you feel some kind of fear of doing something. When you take action in spite of fear, the strength and courage at the end will be so amazing. Even thought the results at the end is not what you hoped to be, that does not really matter because strength and courage increase every time you take action. The more action you take in spite of fear the more strength, courage, and self-confidence you will build that will convert into happiness.
