Edit: As of Wednesday multiple sources claim that it's "confirmed" that the police officer was badly injured.

The streets of Ferguson, Missouri are still crowded with protesters over 10 days after Michael Brown was shot dead by police officer Darren Wilson. While it seems that most people are demanding justice for the slain young man, the cop who killed him is also attracting a group of supporters of his own. This Wednesday morning report on Huffington Post shares that people across the country have turned their porch lights blue in honor of the cop. In Missouri the support for Wilson is high, with at least one store selling out of blue light bulbs.

Even though Wilson appears to be garnering a growing number of supporters, this report shares that he is still too fearful to leave his home. The people of Ferguson are demanding justice for Michael Brown, and to some of the community that justice equals death for the man who shot the teen. Some have publicly called for violence against the officer, who is currently on paid leave while the case is being investigated.

In addition to the support growing for this police officer, there are already hoaxes going around in support of him. For starters, there is currently a story going around right now that alleges Darren Wilson suffered an "orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket," during the altercation that ended with Michael Brown dead. It should be noted that this hoax is currently traveling fast through social media and sites like Liveleak, but it's not confirmed and there doesn't appear to be any basis of truth in the story. Remember the Trayvon Martin case came with similar rumors and hoaxes.
