The Veterans Administration loan program enables vets and active member duty personnel to purchase or refinance a home with favorable loan terms. VA offers fixed and adjustable rate mortgages that can accommodate no down payment on many purchase transactions.

Non-veterans are not eligible borrowers except as the spouse of an eligible veteran. Children of an eligible vet are not eligible for the home loan benefit. VA has a funding fee that is determined by type of down payment and percentage of subsequent use. Disabled Vets are exempt from paying a VA funding fee.

To get qualify for any home loan purchase your first steps should be to “Get Qualified” finding out if you are qualified first will save you time and provide your Realtor with a letter of approval and dollar amount you are able to finance based on your income and debt ratio.
