eBay selling can certainly be an addiction and if you are like me, your friends and family probably get sick of hearing you talk about it. So why not talk about eBay in front of an audience that is interested in the subject, and get paid for it at the same time? You can do this by writing for The Examiner.
I have been writing here for The Examiner since August 2009 and it is an easy and fun way to share your passion about eBay selling, discuss your eBay triumphs and frustrations, and help other sellers find success. Not only does The Examiner offer a revenue share program (you get paid a percentage of the ad revenue generated by the Google ads on your articles), but The Examiner is a highly indexed site so your posts will be organically found on Google and you don't really have to do anything to promote them. Writing here is easier than having your own blog. You can include links to your eBay listings, your Facebook page, and even affiliate links (used judiciously). I make around $40 a month from The Examiner, but the exposure and traffic building benefits are unmatched. It is a win-win situation for both you and The Examiner.
Examiner writers are expected to write short (300 word) posts a few times a month. You can write as much or as little as you like. More is better since you are paid based on ad revenue, and the more posts you have out on the internet, the more opportunities for ad clicks you will have. Writing and posting an article takes about 15 minutes. You don't have to be a seasoned writer, and English professor, or have a zillion articles online. You just have to have a passion for writing about eBay!
You can apply to be the eBay or online selling Examiner for your city, county, or town. And if there isn't an Examiner position listed for your area, you can suggest one. For example, here are some existing Examiner columns:
eBay Examiner
Online Selling Examiner
Garage Sale Examiner
Thrift Store Examiner
Collectibles Examiner
Work at Home Examiner
