Love it or hate it, self-proclaimed "front page of the internet" reddit.com is one of the most popular websites in the universe. Powered by its peer-voting system and a steady grasp of effective simplicity, Reddit is a legitimate phenomenon.
One of its most-frequented features is the AMA; that is, an "Ask Me Anything" (or the similar AMAA, "Ask Me Almost Anything") session. The most visible examples of these tend to be from celebrities, which may take an hour of their time, for example, to answer some questions asked of reddit members. This fun, informal, village-hall take on question-and-answers often provides a more candid look at the lives of the rich and famous, as opposed to the stodgy staging of a traditional interview.
For example, two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning, quarterback of the New York Giants team in the National Football League, recently hosted his own AMA. Someone asked him, "Eli, what's your favourite video game?" And how did the younger Manning brother reply?
That's right: The original Legend of Zelda cartridge, for the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) console, is Eli Manning's all-time favorite title. Perhaps this is not a surprise, seeing as it has always been very popular and may have even just been the first cartridge he could think of -- but, nonetheless, retro gamers may find it heartening to know that the old-school greats still get their due from modern influencers.
