Are you an aspiring singer in the Nashville area? American Idol (AI) will be holding auditions for season 10, in Music City, this Saturday. As the first stop for AI auditions, Nashville will be watching and collectively hoping for a local winner this year. Past singers include our own Carrie Underwood and Melinda Doolittle.

Here is the scoop on how to get into the audition:

• Get a wristband at the Bridgestone Arena (501 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203) from 7AM on 7/15/10 till 8AM 7/17/10. Note: no auditioners will be allowed to camp out.

• Once you receive your wristband-go home.

• Return to the main entrance of the arena, at Broadway & 5th Street, by 5AM 7/17/10 for more instructions.

Be prepared to wait a long time in the hot summer sun. Wear light colored clothing, drink plenty of fluids and wear a hat if at all possible, or you may get over heated. Nashville is known for very hot & humid summers.
