Rumors have been swirling for days around FarmVille's live customer support chat. Some players were saying the feature was only available to paying customers, others said email support was about to be phased out, while others claimed a player needed to spend $100 per month to be eligible for support. As with most internet rumors, most of this is simply not true.
Here are the facts:
- You DO need to be a paid player (meaning someone who has purchased Farm Cash) to receive live chat support
- ALL customers can e-mail customer support, whether they make purchases or not
- E-mail support is not being phased out
- Customers who are eligible for live chat may not be able to access it due to heavy volume.
These facts are confirmed in a post made in the Zynga Community Forums on Monday.
Customer support will always be available to you if you need it. It is true that you do need to be a paying customer to access live chat, but other companies do this as well (think of computer support lines or internet service providers). The bottom line is, is that help is available to you no matter how much you spend in the game.
If you have an issue with the FarmVille game, here's how you can contact customer support:
Via email: http://support.zynga.com/cp_landingpage?gameid=63. This link will bring you to the main support page, where you can submit a ticket for your issue. This option is available to all players. Replies to e-mail issues typically can take anywhere from 18 - 36 hours.
Live chat: http://support.zynga.com/cp_landingpage?gameid=63 If you've purchased Farm Cash and you need support, you can also use that link. When live chat is available, the FarmVille image with the cows will be replaced with a live chat image you can click to access an agent.
