“For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God I have leaped over a wall.” Psalm 18:29 (KJV)
It was ironic that this Atlanta woman was asked to pray for a sick child. It just happened to be a somewhat unexpected request because it came from an often vocal proponent of another faith. Her friend had never been shy about the fact that he did not believe in Christianity.
Whether of a particular faith or not, in extreme and heart wrenching circumstances, men will cry out to a God that is apparently working in the lives of others. The old saying “the proof is in the pudding” proved to be correct in this situation. This woman’s belief in God was obviously evident in her life probably more than she even realized.
Leap over a wall kind of faith was what her Atlanta friend needed and that is what he got. His son made a complete recovery. Did the friend become a Christian as a result? The answer is not known. However healing in body, mind, and spirit is often attributed to occurrences seemingly due to strong faith in God.
Miracles, awe inspiring events, or unexplained circumstances, this healing in Atlanta hopefully will inspire Christians to stand poised, ready to leap over their proverbial walls.
