A Daily Word from the Word for Tuesday, August 12, 2014

“Your Words were found, and I ate them, and Your Word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.” – Jeremiah 15:16a

Tired of eating your own words, my brother? Getting sick of the junk food that the world is feeding you, my sister? Then start eating God’s Words, family. Psalm 34:8 sings with satisfaction “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the person who trusts in Him!”, and Psalm 119:103 satiates “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”

“Words,” as referred to in this verse, is dabar (pr. daw-bawr), which is “a matter (as spoken of), commandment, decree, provision” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). God’s Words are the only words which have the power to give life, create, transform, break, destroy, bind and loose. Everything in your life—every situation, circumstance, and condition, must submit and line up with God’s Word when spoken by faith with His authority, and soaked in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

“In the beginning was the Word [Jesus Christ], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1-5, 14).

Do you declare what the Lord has declared over you and spoken into you, my brother? Do you feast on the marvelous delicacies that the Creative Father has formed you with, my sister? “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” ( Jeremiah 29:11).

Proverbs 1:1-3 serves up God’s truth from the Divine Dining Room of Heaven: “My child, keep My words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep My commands and live, And My law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.”

We “find,” or matsa (pr. ma-tsa), which is “to attain, secure, acquire, meet, encounter.” Are you laying hold to every promise of God, which is a resounding “YES” and “AMEN” by securing His Word (2 Corinthians 1:20)? When we have an encounter with God’s Word, we have an encounter with God Himself.

How often do you meet with the One Who spoke you into existence, family? An occasional eat-and-run will not do justice to these magnificent morsels of Heaven itself. We must feast on the Word, so the Word can produce the manifestation of our Divine Destiny spoken into existence by the Almighty Creator Himself.

Are you hungry, my brothers and sisters? Great, me too! I know an excellent eternal eatery called “The Bible,” which serves up the Word of God every day. It never closes, and it never runs out of food. Let’s dive in!

Father, Thank You for Your Word which became Flesh for us. Help us to crave and appreciate Your Word morning, noon, and night. By Your Holy Spirit, draw us to Your Living Word, and speak to us through the pages of Your Book—The Bible. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we do not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of Your mouth (Matthew 4:4). Amen and Amen.

Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to fill up on God’s Word each and every day. Make time to serve up and feast on a five-course meal of the Word of the Living Jesus. And continue to fight the good fight of savoring every bite and chewing slowly; for God, your Divine Delicacy, has already given you the victory!

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!

God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today. Forward this message right now by email, facebook, or twitter.

Jesus is coming soon!

May God Bless you and keep you always.

With warmest regards,

And, in service of The Most High King,

Matthew
