Do you care?: caring and Christ (part 3)

“If you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why are you anxious concerning the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Luke 12:26-27)

We are not the doers, so we don’t need to worry about the details – our heart’s desires will manifest naturally through Being. That’s because in Being, we are attuned to our heart, through which we know God’s Will for us, and our heart is open to receive that which God delights in giving us – that which will not burden us or hold us back, but exactly that which we are prepared to receive in joy unfettered by attachment or inordinate need that focuses our attention on other than God. This is being truly “cared for”; this is how God cares.

Yet, in our world there is a prevailing consciousness of apathy, indifference and discouragement in the “I don’t care” consciousness that is often more a defensive reaction to feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, hopeless, or fatigued. It is easier to turn away from suffering or to pretend not to see it, or to lead undisciplined lives, so we take the easy way out. Yet this sort of “carelessness” in not paying attention allows the forces of evil to continue causing the very conditions that overwhelm us with suffering.

The people of God need to know that there is a tremendous momentum created on this planet, of hating, denying and persecuting the Christ. Apathy, discouragement, hopelessness and fatigue are not who we are! These are energies that are projected upon us to keep us from being the Christ, and they remain as burdens on our psyches and emotional bodies until we determine to Be Christ, whereupon the tables are turned and our burden is light. In other words, as Christ we are acting upon the darkness of the world, transmuting it in Christ’s light; we are victims of the darkness no more.

Christ does care. Christ will fight for you; it is Christ who fights for you and for every soul’s right to live and to grow in God. It is Christ who will lay his life down for any soul of God, and Christ remains our holy potential and reality. So we need to be aware that when we feel the energies of “I don’t care”, that it is not about us; it is an energy “package” settling over us like a heavy gray cloud, and we can call upon the Light of Christ within us to dispel this cloud. Therefore, the Christ is always “carefree” in the sense of being the power of Light and Truth that can dispel all darkness. When we understand this, we can easily see why the forces of evil do not want us to be the Christ; it means their demise.

Envision a world free of evil, where the Light of Christ illumines every corner and all people are set free to Be their Highest Selves. Envision a world of purity, beauty, joy, and the highest creative expression. Through Being the Christ we can manifest this world.

Do you care?

This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. “
(Matthew 15:12-13)
