Do we have skin in the game?

We are still fortunate to be citizens of the best country in the world but our best status is wavering. There is no question that our growing national debt is a looming economic disaster if not properly dealt with. This is as simple as reducing spending, no rocket science here. We own this country and those that represent us are our employees, servants so to speak, thus the long lost term of public servants. If we are not happy with the state of the union then it is up to us the owners to correct it. It is not the responsibility of others to do it for us.

In our own homes we control what goes on and how things are run. Our country is our collective home and nothing more than a gigantic multifamily condo project as opposed to our single family homes. Government owns nothing more than a responsibility to serve us, their employers. Yet we keep growing government at great expense to dictate to us how we should live our lives, and we call this freedom. Why is this happening to us?

This is happening because we have allowed our collective individuals to become less than exceptional for many various reasons of which there are a few highlights; ignorance via poor educational system, fat and lazy via poor self esteem, poor life choices via deteriorating moral values or moral compass, and apathy via the illusion that government will provide all our wants and needs.

Our forefathers were all in, to frame our government, to give us the tools to lead the world as an example of how it should be done. They at the time were committing treason against the King of England and put their lives on the line for what they believed was best for America. We must ask ourselves what are we doing as patriots? Complaining or firing out a tweet blaming anything but ourselves won’t actually change anything. We must as American assets invest our time, money, or both in our collective home called America. We need to step up our individual lives by getting involved, getting fitter physically, and making life choices based on some type of moral compass of right and wrong. Our most dangerous enemies to our well being as a nation is us, you and I. Just paying taxes isn’t enough, no more than buying groceries is enough, if we don’t prepare our food and eat it, we will starve. Our country needs its citizens to commit to being an American asset and reject being American liabilities.
