This baseball season, fans with ticket packages will have the opportunity to take advantage of the perks of a program dedicated to enhancing the game day experience. This is an opportunity for old fans to see their beloved stadium in a new light and for new fans to benefit from what is learned through analyzing game-day purchases and habits; which directly relates to those with constant, repeat attendance.
Whether you’re a new visitor, your team’s biggest fan or somewhere in between, you will enjoy visiting the Washington Nationals Park; located in Southeast DC, south of the Capitol.
At Nationals Park, classic baseball meets a dynamic world of technology as noted in the March 1, 2013 article in 'The Washington Post' Sports Section, written by Dan Steinberg.
Steinberg detailed the "Ultimate Ballpark Access" card created and developed at Nationals Park. This innovative idea is one way to keep a sports team relevant, thriving and growing; with the large variety of entertainment options offered in the Washington DC Metro Area. Steinberg wrote:
“The Nationals have gone further [than other entertainment venues utilizing similar programs] by combining every system in a single card, linking ticketing with concessions with retail with loyalty rewards that can be used for seat upgrades as well as such real-time offers as discounted popcorn and jersey specials…The Washington Nationals’ vision of a new ballpark experience begins at an unmanned turnstile, where a plan holder waves [his or her] card over a reader and makes ‘contact-less’ entry in less than a second. Within a few steps, an e-mail or text message arrives, thanking the fan for attending her 10th straight game and offering a free hot dog.”
With the start of the 2013 Spring Training, daydreams of ‘peanuts and Cracker Jacks®’ dance in the heads of baseball fans all over; while the time-honored melody ‘take me out to the ballgame’ brings a smile to young and old alike. March springs forward into the next baseball season, fan excitement builds and a new baseball experience breathes with new life created by a dynamic baseball culture.
The players and the fans share a love of baseball and the nostalgic feelings it conjures up. National’s Park is the perfect place to begin, continue or create your love of a timeless game experience. Take a date, take your family or make a solo trip into baseball past, present and future!
