It seems as though Valentine’s Day creeps up on us faster and faster each year. After spending oodles of money on Christmas gifts, the next thing you know it's already time to celebrate the holiday of love. There are fun ways to commemorate the occasion without emptying your wallet.
1. If you don’t want to fight the crowd, then try going out the weekend before or after Valentine’s Day. Now through Saturday, February 6, you can enjoy Devour Downtown Indianapolis. Twice a year dozens of restaurants including Barcelona, Scotty’s Brewhouse, Palomino, St. Elmo’s Steakhouse and more participate in this fun tradition. For just $30 a person you can enjoy a delicious meal including an appetizer, entrée and dessert at one of these fine establishments. In fact, some restaurants offer 2 for $30! View the full list of restaurants in Devour Downtown.
2. There is nothing more romantic than a dinner by candlelight. One way to save on the cost of an expensive dinner out is by eating in. Surprising your significant other with a meal you prepared is a great way to spend the evening together. You can even roll your own sushi to make it a fun experience you can do together.
3. There are a few other places around the Indianapolis area that offer dinners for 2 at a special rate. You find them all at OpenTable.com.
