Do-over

When you hear the words “do-over” does it impact you in a positive or negative way?  Sometimes when you’re forced to go through the same old thing, time after time again, it can be redundant and draining.  On the other hand, on occasion you genuinely mess up and having the opportunity to make things right, with a do-over, means everything.

Do you know anyone who has been married multiple times or maybe you have?  How has this do-over worked out?  There are many second, third and fourth marriages that continue to fail.  This is because the person or partner hasn’t taken ownership of their behavior and/or they actually like the drama on a deep subconscious level so he or she keeps choosing the same type of partner.  They are stuck in a do-over pattern.

Then there are others who take ownership of their immature behavior and this sets them in a forward motion again and enables blissful matrimony for the next go around.

The bottom line here, do-overs are part of life.  And, regardless if you’re looking at them as negative or positive, if you don’t learn your lesson, you’ll continue in a repetitive do-over pattern.  Make the most of these situations and, for heaven’s sake, figure out the lesson to break the pattern!
