You might be familiar with Chip Ingram as the Senior Pastor of Venture Christian Church, based in Los Gatos, CA, or from livingontheedge.org. If you’ve heard Ingram teach, you know that he is straightforward and to-the-point.
His newest book, “Spiritual Simplicity”, proposes that if you are yearning for peace, you should learn to love more and your priorities will be completely rearranged. This book doesn’t offer anything new, really. You’ve heard it before, but Ingram, in his down-to-earth style delivers the message clearly and concisely. You may find that after years of sermons on love, peace, and simplicity, you finally get it. When you do less and love more, you will find yourself doing more and loving even more, but in a different way and for a different reason.
This book can easily be read in the span of an afternoon. It is filled with spiritual truth and biblical wisdom from a well-respected man in ministry. He’s taken what He has learned from experience, written it down and shown what the application looks like.
The one thing that is disappointing is that the sobering self-assessment referred to in the notes is no longer available or the link is incorrect.
