DIY peppermint exfoliating body scrub

Expensive body scrubs are all the rave at bath and body stores and spas. But did you know that body scrubs are pretty easy to make at home and will have all the same benefits in the homemade version as the buy at the store variation. Only difference is you can create the scrub based on what suits your fancy. Create your own labels on your home PC to personalize the name and give it as a gift or place in special jars or bottles that you love.

To make a Peppermint Exfoliating Scrub at home you simply need the following ingredients that can be found at your local grocery store. Rosemary can be found at places like Home Depot in the Garden section.

•8oz Jar (such as a mason jar)
•Bowl
•Spatula
•Ribbon
•1 cup salt, Kosher, Epsom or Sea Salt
•Almond oil or another high quality carrier oil.
•1-2 fresh sprigs of Rosemary
•6 drops Spearmint extract found at local grocery store.

Put your salt in the bowl and pour the oil until the salt is the consistency of wet sand. Pull leaves of Rosemary branch and coarsley chop. Then mix your spearmint and fresh Rosemary into the salt till the rosemary is a bit wilted or softened. Pour into your choice of jar or alternative container.

Other ideas for homemade scrubs include fresh lavender with lavender essential oil or rose oil with finely chopped rose petals.
