To begin, gather the following ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 5 drops of any essential oils [Optional]

In a spray bottle or bowl mix the ingredients together. If using the spray bottle, shake the bottle well after all of the ingredients have been added. If the ingredients were mixed in a bowl, simply dip a soft cloth in the mixture, wring out excess liquid, and polish the woodwork and/or furniture. The vinegar cleans the wood while the olive oil nourishes the wood. The additional essential oil adds a delightful scent that is uplifting as you clean. This furniture polish is safe to place your fingers in, and give your nails a nice shine once done with cleaning.

You can make as much furniture polish as is needed. You want to try to keep the ratio of oil to vinegar to one tablespoon per quarter cup of vinegar.
