"The thought that we could continue to go about business as usual in the manner that we had been has already proven to be impossible with the collapse of the financial institutions, automobile manufacturers, and housing market."

Is that not EXACTLY what Obama has been doing? Spending just like those before him?
Running up the national debt more than ALL the previous presidents combined?

"Running up the national debt more than ALL the previous presidents combined"

Close, but no, that was George W. Bush. When W. came into office the national debt accumulated by the previous 42 presidents was just over 5 trillion, when he left it was just over 10 trillion. He managed to, as you say "Run up the national debt more than ALL the previous presidents combined". It's my guess that at the time you could have cared less, just like the Republican lead congress that allowed him to do it. I could go on and on, but you're not listening, and that's the problem.

You should take some Economics classes, cause your ideas are off the wall. Maybe we can increase our manufacturing if we get rid of the Unionized forces. Not sure that is going to change our economy for the better in the long run. Do you really think we are all not going to be taxed to support all of the new gov't programs.

Either that or pay skyrocketing healthcare premiums.

The stimulus plan was to avoid a depression, and the healthcare reform is attempting to be debt-neutral. Quite different from the Bush tax cuts that were for the purpose of.... ?
