Today, June 7, 2014 Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz announed that they have received bids from and are considering the following six cities to host the 2016 Democratic National Convention (DNC).

The committee will send crews to visit and conduct a study of each city to determine it’s ability to successfully hold and manage large crowds of people.

This 2016 convention is where the democratic nominee for the 45th President of the United States will be announced and it promises to be a lot of fun for those attending. In true democratic fashion, the DNC has put the six city options out for a vote.

To cast your vote for your preferred city from the list below, click here.

  • Birmingham, AL
  • Cleveland, OH (also vying for the Republican National Convention)
  • Columbus, OH
  • New York, NY
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • Philadelphia, PA

Each city that has submitted a bid considers this convention an opportunity to boost that city’s economy.
