Start off your mornig by checking out the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Receive you free health tests and screenings and valuable medical and health information, participate in a variety of interactive sports and fitness activities (zumba is on!) that are fun for the whole family! Taste some Healthy Cooking demonstrations, soccer, rock climbing, a community blood drive, and many more activities that are designed to engage and entertain!

Then, walk your way over to Touchstone Gallery and check out solo exhibit Into the Wild by abstract painter Paula Lantz. Lantz’s show is inspired by her recent safari to South Africa, Botswana, and Zambia. Into the Wild invites you to feel the awesome beauty to be found in a world that is wild and natural, but highly threatened. The show is open until 29, 2011 at 901 New York Ave NW, noon-5 pm.
Get your grove going by commiting to a few spins and shines on the dance floor of Habana Village, a Cuban oasis located in the heart of Adams Morgan, DC. Take a salsa class at 8 p.m. with DMV greatest latin dancers and dance your night away with DJ Azucar and Ritmo y Sabor (5 piece band) jamming live on the main level!
Sunday:
The Mariland Federation of Art, voted as the best art gallery in Anapolis 2011, is hosting juried exhibition featuring artworks by MFA members in a variety of media. The Winter Show Artist's Reception is on Sunday, January 15, 3-5pm (awards will be given at 4:30pm.) at 18 State Circle, Annapolis, MD, 410-268-4566.
Head to DC Lucky Strike, a stylish bowing alley and entertainment center, located at Gallery Place, 701 7th Street NW, to get down and dirty on the dance floor as the Stackonsalsa.com DMV dance enthusiasts celebrate the joy and power of dance!
