Against a backdrop of what looked like a New York City street scene, designer Donna Karan presented her DKNY Women's and Men’s Spring 2014 fashion show for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week on September 8, 2013 in New York.
And reflecting that work-a-day scene is DKNY Women's Spring 2014 collection, which is all about functionality – no fuss-no muss wearable clothes, with a touch of chic and individuality, such as the colorful patchwork blue jeans as part of her denim offering and the well-cut, timeless trench coats.
To that, Karan adds a touch of off-work whimsy with her cotton candy (candy floss) pink shorts suit, tasty mint green separates, strapless cocktail dresses, and navy blue and white bandana print bodysuit with matching coat.
For her and Men’s collection, the tone is business casual, with pearl grey, black and white suits, or a little more playful with the red shorts suit, while off-duty pieces focus on sportier themes, some with the all-over DKNY logo print, that she has for women.
As for her footwear, models wore trendy trainers – as though ready to walk the streets of the Big Apple to catch the Subway!
These are the clothes to both work and play in – Donna Karan has you covered!
Attending the DKNY Women's Spring 2014 fashion show were Kelly Osbourne in a black and white color-blocked dress, and actresses Bella Thorne (also in a color-blocked ensemble!), Alexandra Daddario (looking sultry in her LBD), and Holland Roden in gorgeous cobalt blue.
