Dorling Kindersley, otherwise known as DK Publishing, is a British publishing company specializing in illustrated books for adults and children.
With publishers in London, New York, Melbourne, Munich and Delhi, their books have been published in fifty one languages. They have just released their newest children's book: Super Trucks.
Written by Clive Gifford, under the process of Project Editor, Ashwin Khurana of London, the book details various types of trucks including military, crawlers, haulers, 18-wheelers and even some "extreme machines."
The 96 page children's book features special "My Story" bits with people from around the world such as Japan, the UK, New Zealand, Mongolia and the USA. Iowa 80, the world's largest truck stop is featured on pages 22-23 and I have the honor of being included in pages 32-33.
Filled with amazing photos and stories that kids will surely enjoy, the book is broken down in three sections: Hard At Work, Fun And Games and Extreme Machines.
The hard at work section looks at vehicles ranging from dump trucks, fire fighters, long-haul truckers and everything in-between. Fun and games show kids the world of steam wagons, racing trucks and monster trucks just to name a few. Finally, extreme machines details house movers, jet power and even amphibious vehicles within the section and that is just getting started.
