August 28th marked the end of an era, when Tyler "Danger" Jacobson played his last set at Lipgloss after eight years as the co-founder and resident DJ of La Rumba's weekly Friday-night dance party.
Tyler announced his plans to leave a month prior, much to the surprise of his fans and loyal Lipgloss patrons. He mentioned lack of family time and being involved with other projects as some of the reasons for moving on, but was enthusiastic about the future of Lipgloss and his own upcoming musical endeavours.
Tyler and Lipgloss co-founder Michael Trundle (DJ Boyhollow) reassured their fans that the show will go on and Lipgloss will continue as before -- playing the best of indie rock, dance, electro, soul and brit-pop music.
DJ Soup will replace Tyler as the new resident DJ, alongside DJ Boyhollow and C.Db.Sn, who will play at Lipgloss once a month.
