DJ Pauly D and Amanda Markert have a child together, but unfortunately, they aren't on good terms -- by any stretch of the imagination. Since news broke that the former Jersey Shore star had fathered a child, the two have been battling it out in the press, and now, they are battling it out in court.
"He has a court date set and hopes the judge will mandate custody time," a source revealed to Radar Online on December 6. "Pauly has been trying to set up a second meeting with his daughter, but Amanda’s attorney keeps denying him a visit."
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Amanda had previously been involved in a domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend which allegedly left him bruised and bloody. So now, more than ever, Pauly wants to be a part of Amabella's life and do what he can to ensure her safety.
"Pauly is very concerned for his daughter’s safety and doesn’t want her in a violent environment," the insider said.
In addition to wanting more visitation, Pauly has filed for full custody, not joint, in an effort to gain full control of his daughter's life, likely still allowing Amanda to have scheduled visitation.
"We’re working on the second visitation now. I really want to see Amabella in time for the holidays," Pauly said last month. "I’d love to get her either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I want to see her as much as possible, but it’s a process."
