DJ E-V Releases the 1st Official Single Off the New "BIFC" 3 Mixtape

I got an email from DJ E-V last week inviting me out to a video shoot for this new single. Unfortunately I was in Dallas and not able to attend. This was one time I actually wished I WAS at home, because I knew this would be a classic Cleveland gathering. DJ E-V has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time. But it hasn't been easy - there's been a lot of work put into building his brand, which is a credit to his relentless work ethic and savvy business acumen. And today, he releases the official 1st single to his highly anticipated "BIFC" part 3 (B*tch I'm From Cleveland) mixtape series. The single is entitled "Ratchet" and features Cleveland rappers MGK, Ray Jr., Dub-O, Tezo, & Pooh Gutta, with production by Cleveland producer JP Did This 1.

If you're in the Cleveland area and you aren't familiar with E-V, you're either collecting social security or you don't get out much. He's a mixshow DJ on KISS FM 96.5, spinning the hottest hits of the day live on air, which has helped to make him one of the most sought after club DJ's in the region. He's also the official DJ for national recording artist Mike Posner, & official mixtape DJ for Cleveland's biggest rising star, Machine Gun Kelly. Add in his constant touring, hosting mixtapes for various artists, doing his own remixes, and cranking out his own mixtape releases, and DJ E-V stays very busy.

But, as previously alluded too, he has finally found the time to put together the 3rd installment of his most highly praised mixtape franchise, BIFC. The name says it all, as the primary premise of these projects is to highlight the hottest Hip Hop acts on the come up - the ones born and bred in the 216 area code. E-V's brand helps push these projects far and wide, gaining much needed exposure and visibility for the plethora of talented emcees in the local Hip Hop scene. Judging from the roster of affiliations in his mixtape catalog (Chip Tha Ripper, Kid Cudi, MGK, Ray Jr., etc...) E-V either has an uncanny ability to seek out who's "hot" and hop on board, or an ability to to predict who's "next" and create a platform for exposure. The smart money is it's probably a little bit of both.
