News came out March 1 via The Sydney Morning Herald that DJ Ajax died in a road accident. The Australian, whose real name was Adrian Thomas, was 41. The incident happened early Friday morning in Melbourne, Australia when he was hit by a truck.
Reports indicate that apparently Adrian Thomas ran onto a road in front of a truck on College Crescent in Melbourne about 1 a.m. Sadly he died at the scene. News.com.au notes that police do not feel there was anything suspicious about the incident, and sadly DJ Ajax died on his birthday.
Word spread quickly throughout social media sites and fans of the DJ are mourning the loss of the man who had made quite the niche for himself in the industry. A tribute page was quickly set-up on Facebook once the news DJ Ajax had died had spread. Many consider Adrian Thomas to be an icon in the industry and he was known perhaps as much for his positive energy and attitude as for what he did for the industry.
