DIY: Tinted Moisturizer in 3 Easy Steps

Your own custom-blend tinted moisturizer in minutes!

We all like our daily make up routine to be quick and easy in the mornings; while resulting in an effortless glam look that'll have everyone wondering how long it took for you this morning to get ready.

Some days I prefer using tinted moisturizer because I like how it's semi-sheer and lets my skin have a day to breathe. That's why I love making my own tinted moisturizer - it gives you such a natural look and it's such an easy 3-step process!

STEP 1:

Take a small dallop of your daily moisturizer. You'll want to use a moisturizer that's a little rich in texture because not only will it be easier to blend with your foundation but it'll also give the application process a silk-like property.

I personally love and highly recommend Estee Lauder's Skincare line. Their products give your skin an affordable luxury that's worth the investment! It's your skin - take good care of it! I use Estee Lauder's DayWear Plus as my day moisturizer and their Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme at night. They both keep my skin hydrated without leaving that oily residual. I love the way it smells too!

A perk of using Estee Lauder's DayWear Plus is that it has SPF 15 and anti-aging properties that combined with your foundation automatically makes your new tinted moisturizer able to combat sun and wrinkles!

STEP 2:

Add two small pumps of your foundation into your moisturizer. You can always add more foundation if you want more coverage that day. That's what's great about making your own Tinted Moisturizer, it's so easily customizable! I would recommend using a matte foundation because your moisturizer will already be packed with oils and rich with antioxidants - you don't need more shine!

STEP 3:

Mix until it's there's consistency (no streaks!) and apply as you would your regular moisturizer! I like to use some blotting tissues for my T-Zone areas just to get rid of any excess shine and you are good to go! Easy as 1-2-3!
