One of the trends this spring is color blocking in fashion. From a few divisions highlighting contrasting or complimenting colors, it’s great a DIY to bring this trend easily into your wardrobe.
Colorblocking and Breakfast at the Zemke’s goes hand in hand with their great tutorial. The two 2 shirts combined give you TWO shirts, in opposite colors. The dividing line should flatter your torso where YOU want to highlight, so make the division accordingly.
Sew Caroline shows how to make a cute colorblock skirt from scratch, but you could add a strip of solid color that would increase the length of an existing skirt and still achieve the same cute look.
Colorblock tip shoes are so popular! Love that Vixen Made uses an existing pair and this pop of color makes them come to life all over again!
You may want a colorblock purse to match those shoes and Because I’m Addicted shows an example with a Coach bag! Make the blocking horizontal or vertical, depending on how the bag is made…either looks great!
Lastly, you can dress in solid colors per piece, a solid shirt with a different, solid skirt or pant…and achieve the same look! Enjoy these pops of color this spring!
