Anyone who knows me, knows I enjoy painting my nails. If I can get away with it, and if I had time, I would probably change my nail color every other day. My favorite time to do nails is during the holidays. I don't mean only Christmas, but Halloween, Thanksgiving and Valentines Day, all those warm and fuzzy holidays. Personally, I like to do my nails myself and save $35, it really comes in handy during the Christmas season. For the next few weeks, I am going to post pictures and how tos on doing your holiday nails. First up, the Christmas lights!
This is proabably my favorite holiday nail, they're so cute and easy to do!You want to paint your nails a light color, light pink or white or nude, something along those lines. We does thise because we want to "see" the lights on your nails. Next take a black polish, either with a thin brush or toothpick, and draw the cord for your lights. Don't be boring with this! Make them loop and circle around your nails and to be really cool, you can make it look like the strand is going from one nail to the next. Let the sit for a minute or two and then pick your colors for your lights. It can really be any colors you want but if you want to stick to traditional look at red, yellow, green and blue. Next draw little pointed lines for your bulbs. Add as many as you want until you think they look perfect!
Once you're done with that, add your top coat and you're finished. Beautiful, fun holiday nails. Perfect for any Christmas party or just for the heck of it. Don't forget to add a good base coat before you do your nails, I use Essie grow strong on mine
I'll be back next week with a new set of nails for you to try! Have fun.
