Diving into triathlon free seminar at REI in Boulder

If you've ever considered entering a triathlon but wonder how to start, you can get answers to your questions at a free seminar on April 2 at 630 PM at Boulder's REI store. Many people are intrigued by triathlon. They've watched the Ironman Kona race on network TV, or have friends or family members who are triathletes, or see all these hundreds of athletes on their time trial bikes around the roads in Boulder county.

For some, the whole idea, while intriguing, is a little mysterious and maybe daunting. How do you get started? What do you need to know to get into it? How do you train for this event? How is triathlon different from a running race?

Five-time Ironman finisher and triathlete coach Will Murray will address these questions and more: where are the good races, what gear you need, what kind of shape you need to be in and how to take the first steps. This will be a fun, relaxed, informative and informal session for folks who have triathlon on their minds, but still have questions about whether entering a tri is just right for them.

This session would also be good for family members and friends of triathletes who wonder what on earth this thing is all about, and where does my triathlete disappear to at all hours.

Justin’s Nut Butter and Bulumu Granola are providing samples, and there will be raffle prizes.

In addition to the April 2 in Boulder, REI will host another on April 25 at 630 PM at their flagship store in Lower Downtown Denver.
