Fans of the upcoming “Divergent” movie have reason to celebrate this week, as the elusive casting role of Four has at last been filled. Movie News reported this Monday, March 18, that British actor Theo James was recently officially cast as Four, while several new actors are already being set to star in the film’s supporting roles.
Although the casting rumors seemed to have been narrowed down between such actors as Alex Pettyfer and Jeremy Irvine, sources have confirmed this week that Theo James is going to play Four in the cast of the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s “Divergent.” The British actor from such films as “Downtown Abbey” and “Underworld: Awakening” will be joining the already star-studded cast, including Shailene Woodley, a rumored Kate Winslet, Zoe Kravitz, Jai Courtney, and Maggie Q.
Insiders from Deadline this week have even more good casting news to share for fellow “Divergent” movie fans. Although nothing is confirmed as of yet, the site has heard word that several other actors are already in talks for potential supporting roles in the adaptation, including Miles Teller, Ray Stevenson, and Aaron Eckhart. The movie is set to begin filming this April in Chicago. Please stay tuned!
