Although a casting rumor shook Twitter this morning after a gossip blog stated that Alex Pettyfer had been confirmed for the role of Four in the upcoming “Divergent” movie, Hypable reported this Tuesday, Jan. 29, that no casting has been completed yet. The film team is reportedly still in "considerations" over who will take on the lead role.
The part of Tobias “Four” remains open for in the hotly anticipated “Divergent” film, and while Alex Pettyfer is certainly one of the top three casting candidates, he has not snagged the role just yet. It is confirmed that the talented actor has auditioned for the role, but he is still a prime option alongside two other key actors that have auditioned, Lucas Till and Jeremy Irvine.
Kate Winslet is another actress that has recently been linked with “Divergent.” Although she is reportedly in talks with the film team, there is nothing confirmed on Kate Winslet’s casting role or part in the adaptation just yet.
However, with filming for “The Divergent” movie already starting this April in Chicago — along with Shailene Woodley revealing this week that she has two top stars in mind to be cast as Four as a “real man” — it’s likely we’ll see who our Four (be it Alex Pettyfer, Jeremy Irvine, or Lucas Till) very soon.
