Mocha and JoJo are Pit Bull Divas. Mocha resides here in Austin while JoJo resides in El Paso.

Mocha has been featured on television, in newspaper articles and on the cover of Austin Pets Directory. She has achieved her Canine Good Citizen and is therapy dog certified through Divine Canine’s Therapy Dog Program. Mocha’s aptitude has provided therapy to those at the Austin State School, Austin State Hospital, St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital and at the Ft. Hood Military Base, which aides returning soldiers with stress. She has also participated in the Barking Book Buddies Program at St. Elmo’s Elementary School. Lydia, a founding Board Member of Love-A-Bull, is Mocha’s mom. Love-A-Bull was organized to educate and to advocate on behalf of the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier, and Bull Terrier (all breeds commonly referred to as “pit bulls”) and pit bull mixes.

JoJo recently became the cover girl of Purina’s Rally to Rescue magazine. She has been seen on television, honored in parades and at El Paso’s city council. At a very young age, JoJo was hit by a vehicle and left for dead on the side of a highway till a caring Samaritan pick her up and took her to a nearby shelter. From the Heart Rescue assisted in JoJo’s recovery. Ann Marie took JoJo with a shaved hind leg, large rows of staples on her incisions and an external fixator sticking out of the top of her hip to work with her. Ann Marie, JoJo’s mom, is an occupational therapist at El Paso Orthopaedic Surgery Group and Center for Sports Medicine while JoJo is an unofficial therapist. This Pit Bull Diva will become a certified therapy dog when she turns one next month.
