Atlanta Dita Von Teese fans, the diva looked positively glamorous as she launched her Dita Von Teese Muse collection at David Jones on October 28, 2011 in Melbourne, Australia.
Dita Von Teese who was born in Rochester, Michigan but grew up in Irvine, California, apparently has quite a fan base in Australia and it’s not surprising that the fashionista of burlesque fame would launch her fashion line in that country.
Von Teese had only recently launched her signature fragrance, but she had previously made her debut into the fashion industry with a lingerie line, which was now branched off into Womenswear.
The ex-stripper’s distinct style is decidedly vintage from the 1930’s and 1940’s with classic lines, which she is capitalizing on.
With her dark haired, sultry looks, one can actually see her going one step further and going tiki with a South Seas motif, which apparently is right on-trend for Spring 2012!
Dita’s pink dress, which she donned to launch her Muse collection, featured a bold rose motif in pink, red and green. She accessorized with cherry red pumps.
Von Teese’s makeup – which helps to create her vintage starlet look – includes thick up-turned black eye-liner, false eyelashes, subtle blusher and a pronounced candy apple red lipstick.
Her Muse collection features classic styling with built-in corsetry and silk crepe de Chine lining to accentuate and showcase the female form in sizes including 8-20.
The designs are available in backstage black, ruby lips red and her signature rose print in pink, red and green, which Dita is photographed in for the launch.
