Electronica duo Monarchy released the music video for their song, “Disintegration,” on Monday. Featured artist Dita Von Teese plays a restrained housewife with a dirty mind in the song's sleek clip.
The “Disintegration” video opens with an orgy of bodies writhing together, which is later revealed to be a Von Teese's filthy mind. The burlesque performer finds herself in a bedroom with Monarchy. In the grand scheme of things, she seems like a repressed '50s housewife, longing for more beyond her pristine-seeming family. Back in the room, Von Teese starts to strip for the Monarchy men. It's a mental battle in her mind between what she has and what she really desires.
“Disintegration” marks Von Teese's music debut as she lightly sings, “Disintegration, suffocation/My life is taken, annihilation.” It's the latest track by Monarchy, featuring throbbing electronic production with a dramatic twist. The single was released to iTunes on January 14.
