A letter sent to the mother of an autistic son was vile and hate filled concluding with the suggestion to “move or euthanize him.” While the “one pissed off mother” may have attempted to make the autistic boy and his mother look bad, all she accomplished was to expose her unconscionable bigotry towards those who suffer with handicaps.
Newcastle, Ontario resident, Kara Begley was devastated when she received the disturbing letter about her son. Not only was Begley shocked and horrified by the letter, but the entire community rallied around her and her son, Max, 13.
The letter accused Begley of being “entitled” for letting her “idiot son” go outside. The letter then said, “You selfishly put your kid outside every day and let him be nothing but a nuisance and a problem to everyone else with that noise polluting whaling he constantly makes!!!”
While the entire letter was hate filled, it was the last line of the letter that revealed the true nature of the woman who didn’t have the nerve to sign her name to the letter. The last line said, “Do the right thing and move or euthanize him.”
Brenda Millson, Max’s grandmother told CityNews, “I was shaking when I was reading it. Its awful words. You don’t know why somebody would ever do such a thing.”
The police are investigating the letter and are trying to determine who wrote it. They have stated that charges will be filed if and when the nasty woman is identified.
