Last week it was revealed that The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad star, Gia Allemand had killed herself in New Orleans.
Now the disturbing and almost gruesome details of why and how she killed herself have been reported
A new report has come to light stating that Gia and boyfriend NBA player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans had been in a bad arguement which led her to become very distraught.
They had lunch together reportedly that day and she accused him of being unfaithful.
When he dropped her off at their home she said she still loved him and he replied by saying; "I do not love you anymore"
They had stopped at the store to get her Nyquil and he left at around 6:00 that night when he dropped her off.
The reports state that Gia was on the phone with her mother when she wrapped a vaccum cord around her neck, and hung it from their spiral staircase on the second floor to hang herself. Her mother was speaking to her and Gia would not respond anymore.
Her mother, Donna Micheletti, texted Ryan saying;
"There was something wrong with Gia" and he should go check on her."
She let him know they were talking and Gia got quiet.
The text added that the mother had been on the phone with her daughter when the line went silent.
Ryan went home and found her on the stairs sitting there, tried to unwrap the rope but she was not alert, he screamed and a neighbor called 911.
EMT reportedly tried CPR and then rushed her to the hospital where they placed her on life support.
She had been without oxygen for around 30-40 minutes they say.
On the 14th of August after being on support for two days, they removed her from the machine based on the fact that she had lost critical function in her brain and she was pronounced dead that night.
Gia did leave a suicide note on her table where she said she left everything she had to her mother.
There was a public memorial service for Gia held by family and friends on Thursday the 22 of August at Trinity Grace Church in New York.
Ryan, her mother, sister, and father were all in attendance as well as a host of friends and other family members.
Her mother issued this statement after her death was announced publically;
"Due to a critical loss of brain and organ function, life support was withdrawn today. Ms. Allemand passed away peacefully with her mother, boyfriend, and other life-long friends by her side. As a practicing Christian, Gia did receive the sacrament of last rites."
We offer our condolences to the family.
