With the third annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival skipping San Antonio for the first time this summer, and Ozzfest bypassing the entire Southern U.S., a happy medium of sorts was announced Monday.

The inaugural Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival is coming Saturday, Sept. 11, to the Concrete Street Amphitheater in Corpus Christi and features two stages of acts.

Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold will headline the main stage, which will also include Stone Sour and Halestorm. Hellyeah highlights the second stage and will be joined by Airbourne, Hail the Villain, New Medicine and the Jagermeister Battle of the Bands winner. The festival will also include game booths and a wrestling tournament. Tickets go on sale June 12 at the UPROAR website and at Live Nation. Complete tour dates can be found here.

Disturbed is currently in Los Angeles working on its fifth studio album Asylum. The band from Chicago visited San Antonio in 2008 while co-headlining the first Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival with Slipknot. Of course, Slipknot singer Corey Taylor and guitarist James Root comprise two-fifths of Stone Sour, which is working on its as yet untitled third album, set for a summer release. Stone Sour played San Antonio in May 2007 at Sunset Station.

Avenged Sevenfold is also recording its fifth studio album, but doing so with heavy hearts. Drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan was found dead in his home just days after last Christmas. He was 28. Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy is recording the new album with the band.

Halestorm is still riding strong in support of its debut and self-titled album. They took part in the 99.5-FM Bone Bash last Oct. 22 at the AT&T Center.

Hellyeah, the band featuring former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul and current Mudvayne singer Chad Gray and guitarst Greg Tribbett, played Concrete Street Amphitheater on Monday night. Hellyeah is slated to release second album Stampede on July 13. For a review of Hellyeah's New York concert by New York Hard Rock Music Examiner Elliot Levin, click here.
