Today the eagerly anticipated Tiger Dublin Fringe 2014 officially kicks off. This year sees many changes being wrought, the most prominent being the introduction of a new curator in Canadian, Kris Nelson, and a welcome new sponsor in Tiger Beer. Now in its 20th year, The Dublin Fringe has become renowned for quality rather than quantity and this year looks like being no exception in the quality stakes. With its emphasis on innovation, along with a strong, multi-disciplinary ethos, the Tiger Dublin Fringe promises to showcase some of the most exciting new talents and shows across the arts spectrum, both international and home grown.
Even a brief perusal of Tiger Dublin Fringe Programme reveals an exciting and eclectic mix that caters to every taste. With representations from theatre, music, dance, comedy, along with discussions and live art, the next 16 days will see over 80 acts sing, dance, dazzle and perform across venues throughout the city, including a spectacular musical performance on Samuel Beckett Bridge.
