Fire fighters were woke up early to be dispatched to a house fire on Morningside Drive. The 911 alerting system was activated, the alarm was sounded and the lights woke up fire fighters at multiple fire stations around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
 

When the fire trucks and all the firefighters arrived at this burning home the flames were quickly overtaking the structure of the frame. Firefighters labored for hours putting out the fire and to overhaul and salvage anything that could be saved.
 

This home located just south of Government Street took extensive fire, smoke, and water damage into the thousands of dollars on this February 23rd morning.
No civilians or fire department employees were injured at this early morning blaze.
