As part of Disney's Limited Time Magic promotion, Disneyland Resort will be hosting their own Greek festival Opa! A Celebration of Greece from May 25-27, 2013.
Taking place at the "it's a small world" Mall in Disneyland and the Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure, the event will celebrate Greek art, food, music, dance, history and more! Even the Disney characters are getting in on the action. Mickey will be there dressed in his Fustanella attire, and Hercules will once again be out and about!

Each day from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., these two areas will offer special experiences such as:
"it's a small world" Mall
- Olympics training with Hercules
- Atmosphere entertainment by "The Citizens of Greece"
- Live performances from Greek musicians and dancers
- Special Greek food offerings
Paradise Garden
- Greek wine tastings
- Live performances from Greek musicians
- Kalamatianó line dances
- Special Greek food offerings
- Atmosphere entertainment by “The Citizens of Greece”
There will also be a special dinner on May 26th with Greek celebrity Chef Argiro Barbarigou and Greek winemaker Christina Boutari at the Golden Vine Winery, which is right across the way from the main entrance to Carsland in Disney California Adventure. Due to the high demand Disney usually encounters with events like this, reservations and tickets for this dinner can be purchased online beginning March 25th. The blog requests that those interested check back for booking information.
The special Greek offerings sound very promising. Many Disneyland Resort regulars have missed the Food and Wine Festival that had to end once the remodel for Disney California Adventure went underway, so these Limited Time Magic offerings serve as a nice placeholder. This Greek celebration is only to be the first in a series of celebrations that will bring guests unique offerings from all around the world.
