On July 2, Disneyland Resort released the dates for Mickey’s Halloween Party, the after-hours party that is the resorts seasonal Halloween Time festivities. Mickey’s Halloween Party will be offered at Disneyland Park for 14 nights in September and October.
As announced on the Disney’s Park Blog, Mickey’s Halloween Party will take place on select nights of the resort’s overall observation of the fall holiday, Halloween Time. The event runs at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure from Sept. 12 and Oct. 31. Mickey’s Halloween Party is one of the highlights of Halloween Time, a hard-ticket event that takes place after the park’s regular hours, and requires guests purchase a separate admission ticket.
In September, Mickey’s Halloween Party will be held Friday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 30. The party will be held on the following dates in October: Friday, Oct. 3; Monday, Oct. 6; Wednesday, Oct. 8; Friday, Oct. 10; Tuesday, Oct. 14; Friday, Oct. 17; Monday, Oct. 20; Wednesday, Oct. 22; Friday, Oct. 24; Monday, Oct. 27; Wednesday, Oct. 29; and Friday, Oct. 31.
This year’s Mickey’s Halloween Party will once again offer Halloween Screams, the special fireworks spectacular that is exclusive to this event, and Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade, the event’s Halloween parade held twice each party night. The after-hours part also offers the Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace featuring Mike & Sulley, which includes a Monster Scare-Off. Adding to the holiday-themed fun: special trick-or-treat stations with candy and healthy goodies; photo opportunities with Disney and Pixar characters (including Disney Villains); dance parties; and special food and drink available for purchase.
Mickey’s Halloween Party also offers guests to the opportunity to enjoy Disneyland Park’s Halloween Time elements. The park offers Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, seasonal overlays to two popular attractions. Disney Villains take a more prominent role in the park as befitting the fall holiday, while Mickey Mouse and his pals dress in Halloween costume. Disneyland Park also offer its Dia de los Meurtos celebration in Frontierland, celebrating the Mexican holiday.
Disneyland permits, even encourages, guests of all ages to attend Mickey’s Halloween Party in costume so long as they follow costuming guidelines. These guidelines are to help ensure the party remains a safe and family-friendly event.
Disneyland guests who want to attend Mickey’s Halloween Party may wish to purchase tickets early. Events do sell out, particularly for party dates closer to Halloween. There is a limit of eight tickets per guest, per event date.
Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets go on sale in two rounds. On July 16, Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Rewards Visa card holders and Disney Vacation Club members may purchase tickets. Tickets then go on sale to the general public on July 30.
