This summer, things are a bit chillier than usual at Disney's Hollywood Studios. That's because Olaf the snowman has taken over, along with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, for a special event that runs daily through September 1. It's known as Frozen Summer, and it's included with your regular park admission ticket. Various activities run throughout the day, culminating in a Frozen fireworks extravaganza at park closing time, but it all starts will an introduction by the loveable Olaf. Click the video accompanying this article to see him kicking off the day of fun.
Olaf's introduction happens when the park opens, so you'll want to be at the gates early to make sure you get in with plenty of time to make it down to the big screen. Early arrival has other advantages, too. Anna and Elsa's royal welcome takes place at 11 a.m., and you'll want some time to stake out a good spot (if you'd like to see it on video, jump to this article). Before you do that, you might want to check out Wandering Oaken's Frozen Funland to skate or make a snowman (yes, with real snow) before the crowd gets too massive.
Later in the day, you'll want to spend some time at Wandering Oaken's Trading Post to stock up on Frozen merchandise, and you'll also want to pop in one of the Frozen sing-along shows. After all, you probably haven't heard "Let It Go" nearly enough! Don't worry, there are other songs in the show, too, and you'll enjoy the humor. You can even buy a Frozen-themed treat like a cupcake or candy apple.
Of course, while the Frozen activities are fun, Disney's Hollywood Studios is packed with plenty of other rides and shows to fill your day, like the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Tours, and Muppets 3-D. If you have a park hopper ticket, you can even take the boat to Epcot for part of the day.
