Walt Disney World and Disneyland have debuted a new line of Disney Princess merchandise in time for Halloween. Royal gowns and accessories feature the newest Disney Princess, Tiana from Disney's forthcoming animated film The Princess and the Frog, opening nationwide December 11.
Tiana is the first African American to join the Disney Princess line. The Disney Princess and Disney Fairies lines are available at the Disney Parks, Disney resort hotels, and Downtown Disney. The official Disney Parks merchandise features exclusive designs that differ from Disney merchandise available at the Disney Store, Disney Catalog, and other retailers.
Princess Tiana's beautiful new gown (pictured at the top left) looks like a ballerina's costume in the Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet. Its shimmering, light green bodice features a natural, leafy design complemented by a yellow silk flower at the waist.

Tiana's dreamy dress is the latest addition to the Disney Princess collection, which provides little girls with the chance to play the part of a princess on Halloween, at the Disney Parks, or during dress up games at home. Other Disney Princess costumes include Belle's classic yellow ball gown from Beauty and the Beast (featured at right); and princess costumes for Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Ariel (the Little Mermaid), and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). The Disney Fairies line features Tinker Bell and friends (below left). The Disney Fairies collection includes flower-shaped purses, fairy wings and pixie accessories galore.
Kids can enjoy the full Disney Princess experience at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, with locations in Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom and at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. Before purchasing a Disney Princess or Disney Fairies costume, visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to see if one of their princess packages suits your budget.
Packages include your choice of hairstyle, makeup, nail color, photographs, accessories, or costume. Boys can join in on the fun with the Cool Dudes Package, which includes wacky colored hair gel with Mickey Mouse confetti.
Disney's latest addition to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique lineup is the Secret Star Makeover. Boys and girls can be made up to look like their favorite Disney star. Kids can become Hannah Montana or one of the Jonas Brothers for Halloween.
Disney's Secret Star Makeover will appeal to a broader audience than the popular Disney Princess experience, which caters primarily to young girls. Teens and tweens of both genders will enjoy the 30-60 minute transformation from ordinary kid to Disney star.
