Disney Studios announce two new Mickey Mouse films

Disney Studios announced today that Mickey Mouse will star in two upcoming films. The first film will be based on the Magic Kingdom. The second film will bring Mickey, Donald and Goofy back together again. The second film will be animated by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Mickey Mouse, the mouse responsible for the joy of children around the world. His creator, Walt Disney reminded people that Disneyland, “all started with a mouse.”

Mickey Mouse debuted in Steamboat Willie an animated feature released in 1928. The innovative animation short film was one of the first cartoons with sound. Mickey was voiced by Walt Disney.

A veteran of dozens of films, hundreds of hours of TV work, a multitude of print work in comics and books, not to mention all his personal appearances at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, Mickey Mouse is still on the move.

Mickey Mouse has been honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with star #6925 located on Hollywood Blvd. He was the first animated character honored with a star for his film work which includes nine Academy nominations.

Plans and other information about the upcoming films will be released through Walt Disney Films and Walt Disney Animation. Both studios have a robust schedule for the next several years.
