Let the afternoon pass you by while you spend time alongside a swimmin’ hole near the Sassagoula River. Ol’Man Island is a 3.5-acre refuge where guests can swim in an old-fashioned watering hole with a slide that is designed after an old mill. Where can you find this amazing pool at? Ol’Man Island is located between the bayou section of Alligator Bayou and the mansions of Magnolia Boulevard. Perfectly located for those staying at this resort. It is in the middle of all the action, while still giving you the feeling of being secluded.

Features found at Ol’Man Island include:

  • A 95-foot slide
  • Whirlpool spa
  • Kiddie pool
  • Fishin’ hole
  • Entertainment and activities: Including a daily pool party happen on the deck of the pool
  • Muddy Rivers: A lounge and bar area where guests can grabs some snacks and cool refreshments

Depending upon the time of year and day, a valid Magic Band will be required to go swimming at Ol’Man Island. So if you plan to enjoy this pool, make your room accommodation reservations at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.

If the excitement at Ol’Man Island is too much for you or you want a place where you can relax, make your way to one of five leisure pools scattered throughout the resort. Three pools are located in Alligator Bayou and two are in Magnolia Bend. If you plan to swim at one of the leisure pools, it may be a good idea to bring some towels with you from the room. Room towels are only provided at Ol’Man Island.
