Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide has a new program for people with disabilities scheduled to start October 9, 2013. Their previous program faced many difficulties due to numerous reports of abusing and exploiting people with disabilities. The new program is called Disability Access Service Card (DAS). The DAS card is for people who are unable to wait in the regular lines due to an apparent and non-apparent disability. These cards can be issued at Guest Relations with a return time for the attraction’s current wait time. Once the Guest has finished one ride, they must go to the Guest Relations Kiosk, which are located throughout the park to receive a return time for another ride. Disney has asked for patience while they make improvements to this new program. For more information on FAQ’s.
