Steven Sondheim's hit musical "Into the Woods" has been transformed into a spectacular movie fairy tale to hit theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014. With incredible stars like Meryl Streep as the Witch, James Corden as the Baker, Emily Blunt as the Baker’s Wife, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel, Billy Magnussen as Rapunzel’s Prince, Christine Baranski as Cinderella’s Stepmother, Lilla Crawford as Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, Tracey Ullman as Jack’s Mother, and Johnny Depp as the Wolf, this Brothers Grimm tale is destined to be awesome.

The storyline centers around a baker and his wife that are desperate to have a baby. After being cursed by a witch, the couple set off on a journey into the dark woods where they meet and interact with some beloved fairy tale characters with a modern unexpected twist.

The trailer above is filled with beautiful sets and gorgeous costumes, as well as what looks to be great special effects. It will also be interesting to see some of our favorite actors display their vocal talents (personally, I can't wait to see Chris Pine as Cinderella's Prince). But unfortunately, we don't get to see any singing in this first trailer. Guess that's too much of a spoiler. Maybe as time gets closer we'll get a glimpse of some of the songs in the next trailer, or the next. Can't wait.

Excited yet? You should be. This looks like a real winner for Disney Studios and a treat for movie-goers of all ages.
